A business letter of responsibility is required,
to be typewritten on your company letterhead
explaining the following:
Nature of business to be performed.
Name and address of reference to be visited.
Guarantee of return transportation and
sufficient funds for the visit.
The letter should be signed by an officer of
the company other than the applicant

Your visa is valid for a maximum stay of three
months (90 days). It may be extended, but this must
be arranged in the country by contacting the General
Office of the National Police in Ouagadougou. The
Embassy does not issue a long-stay visa.
Visas are issued in 72 working hours, except in
case of emergency.
Carefully complete the application forms. If any
information is missing, it will be necessary for the
Embassy to return the forms, delaying your visa.
The Embassy issues three types of visas:
ordinary, courtesy, and diplomatic visas.
All ordinary visas are subject to a $50.00 fee.
Vaccinations: inoculation against yellow fever
is required. A cholera vaccination is recommended,
and may be required in the event of an outbreak.
Arrival in Burkina Faso:
Be aware that it is unlawful to photograph
airports, military camps, and the vicinity of
government offices.
